Okay, so I'm not being a bleeding heart here but I'm trying to state the facts.

The facts, in anything, can be skewered by the man who does the numbers, so facts should be taken by a grain os salt and a small prayer.

However. This site, and many sites like this, are a God-send, yes a God-send, to many people. IF you were a paraplegic or just in a wheelchair for any reason whatsoever, your chances of going to a theater to see a new film are diminished by the ability you have to travel.

There are a lot more people on the edge or below poverty level who are unable to sacrifice food money to pay for $12 and up for a theater ticket.

This gets worse if you have a family to support on a very limited budget, but you still have to provide a semblance of stability to that young family.

While studios make a fortune on some movies, break even on others, or lose money on some of the crap they produce just to stay in the production line, does not give them the right to discriminate against those who are unable to pay the ever growing fees they ask for you to see their product, and often, that product is not worth the money you pay.

They still make their profit, even if you download a movie to see with your family. Don't fool yourselves. If there was no money in it, they would not be doing it, and the amount they lose to the ones that cannot make it to the theater, is inconsequential.

Ahashare is doing a great service, and just like any other service, there are people who abuse it.

There are no solutions. However, one must realize that this is in fact a service that has provided joy to many shut-ins, people of restricted mobility, and users that have been staunch supporters of a system of entertainment that they otherwise could not afford.

This is why, it is totally essential, that when you download a film, book, whatever, seed for as long as you are able so others may enjoy the offers of our many providers.

Some day, you could end up in a situation like some of the ones I mentioned above, and I pray you do not. But, it is possible, and without sites like this, sorry for the language, you'll be f*****.

Thank you for your comments Tattie and gnv64. This post was especially close to my heart and I'm totally surpised the lack of comments from the moderators, who should be supporting this.

To give you the background for this post: 8 mothes ago, my son's best friend worked overtime to finish a project. He worked untill 9 pm on a Friday night so he wouldn't have to go to the office on the weekend, and he finished up as he planned.

Looking forward to a beer and a pizza, he headed home. 5 minutes before he got there, crossing an intersection on a green light on his motorcycle, he was hit and run over by a drunk driver making a right turn from a cross street at high speed.

To make a long story short, he is paralyzed from the waist down, living in a wheelchair. He goes to physio three times a week and the consensus is he may, possibly, walk again in two to four years. He's 34. His girlfriend left him after the accident and he is all alone except for my son who turns up at his apartment every Friday with a case of beer and a large pizza so they can watch a movie he downloaded from Ahashare.

His entire life is between that Friday night, physiotherapy, and his laptop that seems to be on Ahashare 99% of the time. And he doesn't just download. He seeds for days because he is so grateful for what he's receiving from all the supporters out there.

Recently, he asked me if I had a particular movie, because all the seeders were gone and he had 99.4%, just 4 GB short. I did not. THAT is what prompted my post.

Thanks again Tattie and gnv64 as you two are apparently the few that bother reading these chatroom posts and caring enough to respond.

Sorry to be late with this post, but I'm dealing with a very ill Father and have only been on the site off and on in the last few months.

The Dr's had only given him six months to live about a year ago and he pretty much told them to stick that time line and had bounced back.
( He spent 30 years in the Navy as a Master Chief, Master Diver, training UDT's to dive, now they call them S.E.A.L.'s , yeah, he's a tough old bird ! )
He has now taken a turn for the worst though and I think he will be going to see my Mother soon, who we lost to cancer four an a half years ago.

I wholeheartedly agree with what you had to say, as I myself am disabled and have a very hard time getting around. I also have limited income, as I can no longer work at my career.
Yes, Ahashare is a God send to folks who other wise would not be able to see / use or hear some of the entertainment that is available on the site.
I wanted to help the site by giving my time, of which I had plenty of and was granted the privilege and trust of becoming a Moderator.
For me, it was the best way to give back to Ahashare for all the free enjoyment the site was allowing me to receive. ( I have limits on my bandwidth that make it impossible to upload or seed a lot of files for long periods of time - I aways seed at the very least 1 to 1 on anything I download though. )
As you said, anyone could find themselves in the position of not being able to use their limbs or a multitude of other problems that would make life very difficult.
A site like Ahashare that is loaded with clean ( No P o r n ), virus free ( We Do Our Very Best To Keep It That Way ), Multicultural ( Always Put An English Description With Your Uploads Though, Please ) files is a fantastic resource and can really make a huge difference in someones life !
In closing I would like to say that I hope your son's best friend does fully recover and I say to you sir that you are a great Father, as you raised your son to be a caring individual that has remaind loyal to his friend. Not always so in this day and age, where so many only think of themselves and run away at the first sign of trouble or inconvenience.

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you that offered up prayers for my Father and myself !
I really appreciated the warmth and sincerity of your comments !
My Father has lost his battle as of Sept 24Th and has gone to be with my Mother, his wife of 37 years.
As I said above before.... " ( He spent 30 years in the Navy as a Master Chief, Master Diver, training UDT's to dive, now they call them S.E.A.L.'s , yeah, he's a tough old bird ! ) ". He lived a fantastic life and passed on so much of his knowledge and wisdom to me.
I have been honoring him by passing on the unconditional love that he so freely gave. He did such a great job of being an example of what a Father should be, that my role as a single Father to my two sons now 19 & 28 came naturally.
They miss their Grandfather immensely, but are secure in the knowledge that he loved them very much, as am I.
Again, I say thank you, a simple kind word can mean the world to someone when they are going though one of life's painful trials.

My heartfelt condolences on your father's passing, to you and your sons. I lost my father 20 years ago, and his absence is still with me. Like I mine, you will miss him for always, and at times it's not easy to bear. If you need to chat with someone in private, I am available to you any time.

This is my first post and my heart is really really big right now. You are all fantastic individuals and I do hope that life will bring each and everyone of you joy and happiness. I completely agree with all the comments you have said. I'm working but can't afford the theater so this is the only sanity / reality for me. Welcome to the Forum, being this is your first post, I hope it won't be your last !
We are a friendly group here & do our best to help each other out. I really understand where your coming from, not having the extra dough to spend on going to a theater.
Seems the price keeps climbing too !
Anyway, keep coming to Ahashare for your entertainment therapy to remain sane ! LOL
Your not alone on that score.
